Thanks to our city council members the above phrase which so far was generally associated with one particular gender (no offense please :-) ) finally gets a unisex tone! Now whole of Dallasites must say NO to mean YES, or YES to mean NO.
The city is in the final voting phase about whether to build a Convention Center Hotel using half a billion dollar tax payer's money. The issue is quite discussed, talked and advertised only to end with the slogan "Vote for NO to say YES" . Personally I find it very hard to to foresee some big company having a convention here with no major attractions and a very dry down town, instead of going to Vegas, Orlando or even Denver...but what makes me more curious how many voters will find the proposition very confusing and probably miscast. Could not it be made simpler?
We will find out tomorrow what people really voted for and what they meant actually.
Atleast there is no option for Maybe!
