It is more than 4 days now, but still I am finding it so hard to digest the fact that one celebrity figure could beat CNN. I was hoping to see some recount request in web...but not yet.. looks like all just gave in to the fact that Twitter, which started primarily for sharing news has been HIJACKED by the these celebrities (latest being Oprah!)...and like many others I am concerned for its future.
But wait...why we cant raise a request for recount. I think one point has been ignored so far, and just like any other valid election we shall take that into account too. Don't count the users who are following both aplusk and cnnbrk. Right? It should have been unique users for both of this acct. Simple point.....isnt it.
I suddenly miss my skills in these web based software etc...else it is not a tough task to find out the number of users who followed both aplusk and cnnbrk....and VOID their count.
Let the Race begin again after that (But please not take back those mosquito bed nets. That was the best possible outcome of this circus...I think.)

Why recount? How does it hurt that @aplusk beat @cnnbrk?
Isn't it good that people find unexpected usage of technological advances and more and more people get involved? :-)
