Tribute to the KING!

Michael Jackson (1958- Kings never die)

" when a 13 yr old from a small town in India wonders how one can moonwalk...and tries to practice those steps in vain for hours for the upcoming dusherra cultural nite. There is NO MTV (or for that matter any TV), No FM (or AM which plays English music), and the only connection for him to the western world is through some local news papers Sunday supplements, and anecdotes from his elderly Calcutta cousins. Bappi Da's disco revolution along with GunMaster-G9 (AKA Mithun) are still at its infancy . This 13yr old may not know who the current American President is, He has no idea about Cliff Richard, Elvis, Beatles or Eagles...but he and his friends can discuss, listen and watch (if fortunate to steal a glimpse in the town's only video parlor) in awe for hours....the king of the pop Michael Jackson".

Thats the phenomenon called the Michael Jackson. Once the most popular person in the earth...and an icon, a legend, a rags to riches story...(and to rags again!) and finally the controversies about his Neverland ranch, and his mysterious health problems. It is sad that now when he is gone....that very media which disowned and ridiculed him at every possible chance is heads over hills for him once again.

My last reading about him was few months bac about the 50 Europian shows of "This Is It" and how it was sold out the very first day and some expensive bidding going on over e-bay, and 13th July 2009 was considered to be his COMEBACK day! I am sure there will be speculations about this sudden death, but it is my belief that probably the rigorous rehearsals to make that show the best one has ever seen....and where fans are ready to spend anything to see him Moonwalk once again at the age of 50 caused this untimely and ultimate end. I wish MJ would have once again saw how the world is remembering him today.

But it is for sure.....MJ's legacy is going to continue for a long time....and you know what I mean if you followed BGT-2009!!!!!

The SHOW MUST GO ON

RIP: MJ, there will never be another like you!
